Sinkholes and Shape changing

The Tories are at it again, changing that is.  The latest changes now predict all quarters of 2009 will feature negative growth and that unemployment will soar even more.  It appears as though the Tories are looking too much at the USA and the damage there rather than focusing on Canada.  Bigger deficits, permanent tax cuts, and skirting around the need for social programs; these are the tools they appear to be preparing for their January 27th budget.  I don’t get the strong feeling that they actually know what Canada is about or who Canadians are.  I get the feeling that they are taking advantage of the economic mess which they did help create with the introduction of the 40 year mortgage without a down payment being one of the keys which weakened our Canadian banking system, a banking system they are now trying to bully into opening the pocket books even more for easier borrowing.  Wasn’t a lesson learned with their last error?

Misinformation supported by media is altering the common Canadian’s understanding of our system of government.  Budget direction is more about weakening the Federal government rather than strengthening the economy.  One gets the feeling that it is more about striking while the iron is hot to bash big government while setting in place tax relief for corporations and big business, permanent tax relief, so that the rich will become even richer as they become the true governing body of our country.  Someone, please step up and stop this insanity before we lose our country.
